Day 1&2 Depart from LAX

Check into flight. If departing from LAX, please arrive by 9:00 PM at Terminal 2.
Depart 1:40 AM from LAX.
Day 3 Beijing (AB)

Arrive in Beijing in the early morning. Visit Tiananmen Square before checking into the hotel.
Day 4 Beijing (AB, SD)

This morning OSSN Members have two choices of tours.
You may elect to enjoy a complimentary Hutong Tour.
Sightsee as we travel by rickshaw through Beijing's ancient residential alleyways.
OSSN members may also choose to take an optional tour (additional cost to be quoted based on total number of participants) to go to the Great Wall.
For those who have not seen the Great Wall, this is a must see!
In the evening we are treated to a famous Peking Duck Banquet and a Kung Fu Performance.
Day 5 Beijing-Chengdu by Plane (AB, L, D)

In the morning we board our flight to the Sichuan (Szechuan) city of Chengdu, the gateway to Tibet. Visit the world famous Giant Panda Research Center. This evening features a fantastic local Sichuan Opera.
Day 6 Chengdu-Lhasa by Plane (AB, L)
03/26/09 THU
This day we board an early flight over mountainous Sichuan Province and into Tibet, "The Roof of the World."
Take in the breathtaking countryside as we travel from the remote airport into the city of Lhasa.
The remainder of the day will be free to rest and adapt to the altitude.
Check into hotel afterward.

Day 7 Lhasa (AB,L,D)

Today visit the 7th century Jokhang Temple and Deprung Monastery. Visit Barkhor Street to shop for traditional Tibetan arts and crafts.
Day 8 Lhasa (AB,L,D)
03/28/09 SAT
Our first stop will be the Potala Palace, the most sacred location of Tibetan Buddhism. We then visit the new palace of Norba Lingka and the former Summer Palace of the Tibetan Lama. Later we see the Tibetan History Museum.
Day 9 Lhasa (AB)
03/29/09 SUN
Today will be a free day to enjoy a local dance and cultural show or take time to go shopping, make sure to taste some regional cuisine while in Lhasa.
Day 10 Lhasa-Chengdu (AB, L, D)
03/30/09 MON
In the morning we return to Chengdu and visit the Wuhou Temple to learn about the Three Kingdoms Dynasty. In the afternoon we visit Dufu house, the Tang poet.
Day 11 Chengdu - Beijing - LAX (AB)
03/31/09 TUE
Free time in Chengdu before a flight home via Beijing.
