Day 1-2 Depart from LAX, Los Angeles
Board a Trans-Pacific flight to Beijing.
Day 3 Beijing (AB, L, D)
Arrive in Beijing in the early morning. Prior to checking into the hotel,
we visit sites of the 2008 Olympic Games such as the Bird's Nest
(outside) and the Water Cube (outside). After resting up, we visit the
Yonghegong Lamasery and Temple of Heaven.

Day 4 Beijing-Lhasa (AB, L, D)
TToday we board an early flight to Tibet, "The Roof of the World." Take
in the breathtaking countryside as we travel from the remote airport
into the city of Lhasa. The remainder of the day will be free to rest and
adapt to the altitude.
Day 5 Lhasa (AB, L, D)
Today we visit the 7th century Jokhang Temple and Sera Monastery.
Afterwards, we visit Barkhor Street to shop for traditional Tibetan arts
and crafts.
Day 6 Lhasa (AB, L, D)
Our first stop will be the Potala Palace, the most sacred location of Tibetan
Buddhism. We then visit the Summer Palace of Norbu Lingka, former
residence of the Dalai Lama. Later we see the Tibetan History Museum.

Day 7 Lhasa-Namtso (AB, L, D)
Today we will drive to one of the Holy lakes in Tibet and Namtso Lake.
After admiring its natural pure color, we return back to Lhasa.
Day 8 Lhasa (AB)
Today is a free day. Take the time to go shopping. Make sure to taste
some regional cuisine while in Lhasa.

OPTION 1 - GUILIN
Day 9 Lhasa-Chengdu (AB, L, D)
In the morning, we board our flight to the city of Chengdu, Sichuan
(Szechuan) the gateway to Tibet. After checking into the hotel, we
rest up before heading out to enjoy a Sichuan opera in the evening.
Day 10 Chengdu-Guilin (AB, L, D)
Our day starts with a visit to the world famous Giant Panda Research
Center. Later, we visit Dufu's house and Wuhou Temple. In the evening,
we board our flight to Guilin.
Day 11 Guilin (AB, L, D)
We cruise down the Li River and arrive at Yangshuo free market. In
the evening, we attend a Folk Dance and Song Show.
Day 12 Guilin-USA (AB, L)
Explore Elephant Trunk Hill and later marvel at the stalagmites in the
Reed Flute Cave. Complete our tour with an afternoon flight back
home via Beijing

OPTION 2 - XINING
Day 9 Lhasa Train (AB)
Board a train to Xining. While traveling to Xining, enjoy the spectacular
views of the Tibetan highland.
Day 10 Xining (L, D)
Upon arrival in Xining, check into your hotel. Visit Tibetan Medicine
museum and witness the longest Tibetan Thangka, which received
the Guinness World Records.
Day 11 Xining-Tongren (B, L, D)
Experience a unique Eastern Tibetan natural view during our drive to
Tongren, the hometown of Tibet Thangka painting art. Later visit a
workshop of the paintings and spend the night in Tongren.
Day 12 Xining-USA (B, L)
Drive to Xining in the morning and board an afternoon flight back
home via Beijing.
